This is the recipe for the Killer Coffee BBQ Sauce I made in a recent video. This sauce is best on pork and chicken, but it tastes great on everything else too.

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cups tomato puree

  • 1/4 cup molasses

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 1/4 cup dark brown sugar

  • 1 teaspoon mesquite Liquid Smoke

  • 1/4 cup white vinegar

  • 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce (or your preferred hot sauce)

  • 1/8 cup A1 steak sauce (or Worcestershire sauce)

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 cup strong coffee (just the liquid coffee – make some coffee with 1 cup of water and 1/3 cup coffee grounds)

Directions

  • Mix all ingredients thoroughly together in a medium saucepan.
  • Bring to a low boil and then reduce heat to a very low simmer.
  • Simmer for about 1 hour, stirring frequently.
  • Put sauce in a jar and allow to cool before refrigerating. Keep in refrigerator until ready to use.
